Will the Sun explode?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Only certain types of stars explode, and our Sun is not one of those types. An exploding star is called a supernova. It happens to the biggest stars when they reach the end of their lives, and it can happen to white dwarf stars if they get triggered into runaway nuclear fusion. Neither of those things apply to our star (the Sun) so we're safe form that threat.
