Does Venus have water?
Only a tiny amount, not enough to make a difference to the planet or to be useful for people who might try to live there. Water vapour makes up about 0.002% of the Venus atmosphere.
We think that a long time ago Venus did have a lot of water, even oceans, but it has since all gone. Any water Venus had would have vaporized due to a runaway greenhouse effect on the planet. Even worse, the water would have been broken down into hydrogen and oxygen in a process called photodissociation. Over a very long time, solar wind hitting Venus blasted all the free hydrogen from the atmosphere into space. This means that Venus' water is permanently gone—there's no way to ever get it back.
This is the end result of a runaway greenhouse effect—a planet with practically no water. In other words, a dead planet.
