Facts About Titan:

  • Titan is the only known moon to have a significant atmosphere (mostly nitrogen).
  • It is the only object other than Earth thought to have liquid on the surface (probably liquid methane-ethane). It also has wind and rain.
  • It is the second-largest moon in the Solar System with a diameter of 5,150 km (50% larger than Earth's Moon). It is larger than the planet Mercury.
