What are Saturn's rings made of?

The planet Saturn

Although the rings look like solid disks from a distance, they're actually made of billions of chunks of ice (ice rocks). The smallest are microscopic, the largest are generally around several metres wide.

Although we've been able to get reasonably close to Saturn with robotic spacecraft, we don't have any really close-photos. The image below is an artist's impression of what the rings would look like if you could get in amongst them.
